Human Nature ..
" ... dreaming is very pleasant as long as you are not forced to put your dreams into practise. That way, we avoid all the risks, frustrations and difficulties, and when we are old, we can always blame other people - preferably our parents, our spouse, or our children - for our failure to realise our dreams. "
It can be very startling when the simple truth and reality of life is presented in just a few sentences. Can we always sum things up so easily? Can one ever view things so easily without any excuses? But this is just human nature, isn't it? We can always blame other people.
The truth about us humans is that we do not like hard work. No one does. That is why we always fantasize about lottery, enjoying a comfortable lifestyle without having to work too hard for it. And working for your own dreams can be even harder work than one can even imagine. Because we have to deal with the devil within ourselves and our own insecurities. It is much much easier to just not do anything about it, and then push the blame about our own inability to fulfill our dreams to other people.
I hope I do not see myself using that as an excuse next time. It is kinda sad, isn't it?
